The short version
You can use Prompt Radar without an account; signing in is optional. We don’t sell data, we don’t run ads, and your photos never come to us — you paste prompts into Gemini or ChatGPT yourself.
What stays on your phone
Signed out, your saves, boards, follows, recent searches and drop reminder are stored in your browser. Clearing site data removes them.
If you sign in
You can sign in with Google or with a link we email you. Google Firebase handles sign-in and keeps your email address (and, with Google, your name and profile photo). We store your account ID, your name if Google provides one, and your saves, boards, follows and “Did it work?” answers, so they’re the same on every device. Your recent searches and drop reminder stay on your phone.
When you first sign in on a phone, what that phone had saved is added to your account. Signing out removes the account’s copy from that phone.
If you post a style
We receive your two photos, the prompt and the details you add. Your phone shrinks the photos before upload, and we remove location and camera data before storing them. Your creator name, handle and live posts are public. We keep a record of what you confirmed when posting (that the people shown agreed, and, for anyone under 18, that you’re their parent or guardian or have their permission), even after a post is taken down.
Posts wait privately until they’re approved. Before a person reviews a post, it may be checked by an automated moderation service (OpenAI’s moderation tool), which sees the photos and text for that check only.
Reports
When you report a style we store the reason, any details you write, and your browser’s random ID (and your account, if you’re signed in), so we can act on it and limit abuse. Reports that a post puts a child at risk, and takedown requests, are checked first. Material that sexualises a child is removed and reported to the authorities, together with what we hold about the account that posted it.
What we receive
- When you copy a prompt or answer “Did it work?”: which style, which app (Gemini or ChatGPT), your answer, and a random ID made by your browser. Signed out, it isn’t linked to your name, email or phone; signed in, it’s linked to your account. We use it to count copies and keep the Works score honest (one vote per device).
- Standard server logs (IP address, browser, time) kept by our hosting providers for security, for a limited time.
Analytics and error reports
To see whether prompts actually work for people, we count page visits and a few actions: viewing a style, copying a prompt, answering “Did it work?”, saving, following, searching (only how long the search was), signing in and posting. They’re linked to your browser’s random ID, or to your account ID once you sign in, never to your name or email. You can turn this off at any time, here:
When something breaks, we receive an error report about what went wrong in the app (the page, your browser and the error, with no account or personal details). That’s needed to keep the site working, so it isn’t part of the switch. We don’t record your screen or what you type.
Who processes it
Supabase (database and image storage), Google Firebase (hosting and sign-in), PostHog (analytics), Sentry (error reports) and, for automated checks of posts, OpenAI. They act on our behalf under their own data-protection terms.
Your choices
Signed in, you can delete your account at any time: tap your picture at the top, then Delete account. That removes your saves, boards, follows, votes and sign-in straight away. Your posts can be taken down one by one from the same place.
Signed out, to remove your votes and copies, email hello@prompt-radar.net with the ID shown below; we’ll delete them within 30 days.
Your ID: none yet (you haven’t copied or voted)
Age
Anyone can browse and copy prompts. Accounts and posting are for people aged 18 and over, which you confirm when you sign in. We don’t knowingly keep accounts for anyone younger; if you think we have one, tell us and we’ll delete it.
Posts may show people under 18 when the adult posting is their parent or guardian, or has their parent’s or guardian’s permission. A parent or guardian, or the young person, can ask for any photo of them to be taken down: open the style and tap “Report this style”, or email hello@prompt-radar.net. We remove it and its files.
